Bisphosphonates and the risk of breast cancer in osteoporotic women: a population-based study

Background: Bisphosphonates (BP) are widely used in osteoporosis treatment. By inhibiting the mevalonate pathway, bisphosphonates may affect cell function and survival, including the viability of tumor cells.
